Injured Passenger secured over R 3.2 million in damages from RAF.

A Major male client was involved in a motor vehicle collision wherein he was conveyed as a passenger. As a result of the collision the following bodily injuries were sustained:

• Fractures to the C1,2,3,4 and 7 of the cervical spine.

On 7 October 2024 the claim was settled with 100% concession of the merits and R 3 212 955.60 in respect of the quantum of the claim which is comprised of the following: 

• R 565 219.60 in respect of past loss or earnings which resulted from the collision; 
• R 2 647 736 in respect of the claimant’s future loss of earnings and/or earning capacity.
• The claimant was further provided with undertaking for payment of the future accommodation of the claimant in a hospital, or future medical services or supplying of goods related to the injuries sustained as a result the collision.
